Or not as the case may be.
I don't know about you but September heralds a focus on starting the autumn, with school and University pretty high up there for me this year and trying to haul myself back from the chaos and lack of routine from a major house move and relocation. I have let a lot of my 'me' time slide in an effort to be the perfect mum, dog owner, partner..and rebuild my business in a new location and I've only just realised that in this I have forgotten a bit of what is important to me and even could go as far as to say that I've developed a bit of an unstable identity in the process (not that I've gone crazy but more that I am figuring out who I am amidst all of the effort!).
I have felt tired and a little lost.
BUT noticing this is key and I have taken some steps to get back to feeling 'me' again. I've booked some time with myself to get back into my daily yoga practice, listen to my body and have booked in for some acupuncture (and on the lookout for a local massage therapist for me!) because however much energy I throw at everyone else, they won't reap the benefits unless I am feeling like I am able to give from a more stable base.
If this resonates with you get in touch. Whether it's just for a chat or for a treatment to get a bit of you back. You're not alone and sometimes you need to speak about it to move forward.
P.S. to clarify I'm not unhappy...I'm very pleased to have moved and feel positive but change is hard. And sometimes no change is also hard so allow yourself the time and space to be you.
I am sooo excited. And, needless to say, slightly nervous about the move to the seaside ON FRIDAY!!!!
But, it's going to be great and we should be set up for treatments from next week in Littlehampton so get in touch if you want to get booked in by the sea.
I'm looking forward to exploring the area with some river and seafront running, dog walks, open water swimming and hopefully getting signed up with a local triathlon club as well as getting things up and on track.
I'll be offline for a while whilst the move happens (currently the only sea I am dealing with is a sea of boxes) but feel free to give me a call on 07725 334604.
The clock is ticking on my move to the seaside!!
Appointments can be booked online and with me for Didcot appointments until the end of June. From the end of June Didcot appointments will need to be booked via me on a first come first served basis for my commute up here for the first weekend of the month (Saturday and Sunday appointments). From July appointments will be available at my studio which is being relocated to Littlehampton, West Sussex and I will also be offering treatments at other venues TBC.

Well it will be as of tomorrow when the air conditioning is here!
It has been pretty warm the last couple of weeks and we've been feeling it in the studio. It is useful to carry out massage in the warm as it does help muscles to loosen off easily and can assist in treatments BUT maybe it's been a bit too warm out there in the studio - thanks for those who have put up with the heat in the evenings recently and you can now look forward to a more comfortable massage.
It can be difficult to train in this weather so take it easy if you're still out running/cycling etc. Try to avoid the hottest heat of the day and make sure that you warm up and cool down, even though it is warm out, in order to avoid straining any muscles.
Whilst muscles are loose in this weather it can also lead to issues such as swelling/oedema and to dehydration so make sure you are taking on enough water and being aware of your body and how it reacts to the heat.
With the impact of the heat on those tired feet that are now often in flip-flops, this month's offer is a free foot massage as part of all holistic treatments - just quote code #hotfeet when you book in!
Enjoy the sunshine and keep a look out for next month's offer (it's a good one for those who want a facial with their massage).
